Brunei's first 3D printed religious building

Commissioned by the Government of Brunei, this landmark project delivered the country's first 3D-printed public buildings—a prayer hall and public restrooms. Built using V3D's proprietary construction technology, the buildings opened to the public in December 2025.

Project overview

Government-commissioned public buildings, built with locally sourced materials and 3D printing. This section covers the project from design and construction through handover.

Detail of the 3D-printed building

Two public buildings commissioned by the Government of Brunei

We printed two buildings with 3D construction printing: a prayer hall (about 232 m²) and public restrooms (about 82 m²). A first for public architecture in Brunei, they opened to the public in December 2025.

On-site construction with locally sourced materials

We set up a gantry printer on site and layered the walls using locally sourced standard mortar combined with our proprietary additive. Working from the design data, we printed the structure directly on site.
